Keep On Fighting

My depression has been getting the best of me lately. But I try to focus on something else. It's not easy, but God's been helping me. Focusing on Him helps me to forget about myself. Yesterday, I had to tell myself over and over again, "Today is a good day. Today is a good day." I definitely did not believe the first several times I said it, but eventually I began to feel better. I even began to have a better day.

You may not feel completely better, but God is bigger than your pain. He will walk through it with you. In fact, He wants to. Pain does not come from God, but He can still use it. Jesus poured out His blood and shed His tears so that He could share your pain with you. He knows what you're going through. Turn to Him and let Him help you. Remember this, pain gives way to success and in the end, victory. Nothing good comes the easy way.

At the end of day, you just have to keep on fighting no matter what life throws at you. I know, I know, it isn't easy. But you need to do it anyway. Don't slip farther by indulging in self-pity. Depression is tough to beat, even impossible at times, but you have to fight it anyway. God is bigger than anything you're feeling. That includes feeling nothing or empty or simply broken. God can handle it so turn it over to Him. He is standing there with His arms wide open waiting for you to come to Him. So go ahead, run on home.
